慶安宮表示，普度祭祀是為今生後世累積功德之行為，分為大普、中普、小普。大普係齋醮大型普施法事，中普為超大型齋醮法會中的大普前普施，小普則是一般民間的普度，而小普又分為街（家）普、宮廟普及交愿（謝神）普三種。

丙申雞籠中元祭放水燈遊行後，基隆慶安宮也於昨（十七）日舉行祈安法會普施孤魂，準備豐盛的祭品宴請十方好兄弟享用，並依循古禮焚香、誦經祈求神明及老大公、好兄弟保佑；市長林右昌也與議長宋瑋莉等人到場參與，並衷心祈求國泰民安、風調雨順、市運昌隆〈見圖〉。

慶安宮昨天的中元普度祭典儀式，首先由法師演淨、開懺，率主普鄭氏宗親振鈴召請好兄弟前來，以山珍海味供品、滿漢全席祭奉。包括仁愛區公所等機關團體都備妥五榖三牲等山珍海味及特色小吃，邀請老大公們來享用。市長林右昌也與議長宋瑋莉等人到場參與，並感謝老大公庇佑基隆風調雨順、市運昌隆。
